Utah Animal Adoption Center is a non-profit organization headquartered in Bountiful, Utah, with a goal of reducing pet overpopulation in Utah. We are staffed largely by volunteers. We rescue adoptable companion animals, mostly cats and dogs, but also sometimes horses, rabbits, hamsters, turtles, etc, from area animal control agencies, and then place them in adoptable homes
The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors, and is operated by an executive director and two part-time adoption facility staff members.
Our volunteers are involved in all aspects of operations. They rescue animals from animal control agencies, foster animals in their homes, deliver them to area vets for spay/neuter appointments, deliver them to adoption sites, care for cats and dogs housed in our small adoption facility in Bountiful, and do just about anything else that needs to be done. This organization could not function without it's dedicated volunteer force.
Utah Animal Adoption Center has been around for almost two decades, and our great hope is that we put ourselves out of business by ensuring that every healthy, adoptable pet has a happy home to call his or her own. |
